As an ECI Environmental Compliance Inspector, you will perform Environmental Compliance Inspections and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development and auditing.

This is a permanent, part-time(less than 40 hours per week) position.
Pay Range for this role is $23.
00 - $30.
00, depending on relevant education, experience, and industry-specific certifications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Perform environmental compliance inspections and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development and auditing.
Complete required weekly routine inspections, after storm events, or on a request basis including weekends and/or holidays, as needed.
Coordinate with federal and state resource agencies about wetlands, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater compliance.
Collect and analyze data and write technical sections of reports.
Responsible for maintaining permit required documentation on-site and providing electronic copies of all documentation at the end of a project.
Responsible for communicating sediment and erosion control or Best Management Practice (BMP) issues to on-site contractors, and/or repairing BMPs per the approved scope within a timely manner.
Provide Client with project status reports and attend meetings, as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
A minimum of 1 year experience in environmental compliance disciplines.
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
A working knowledge/understanding of other Federal, State, and Local Environmental Permitting for construction projects specific to North and South Carolina.
Dependability, flexibility, and ability to travel and spend extended time in the field.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines under limited supervision.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Good decision-making skills.
Good Computer skills and knowledge, including an ability to use Microsoft Office programs as well as ability to learn customized software applications.
Good technical writing skills.
Good planning, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work in a team environment under a team lead concept.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at multiple locations.
Working Environment Work alone in an outdoor field environment; vehicle and foot patrol of utility power lines; remote locations as well as urban, city environment; physical demands and travel from site to site, including walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills, and slopes; exposure to noise, dust, grease, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions.
